Stanley Cup Champion and Conn Smythe winner Ryan O’Reilly Interview

In Episode 2 Darren and Ray talk about the fast start Auston Matthews enjoyed in the NHL’s opening week, and Auston has been working on his one-timer and it has already paid off. The guys discuss what you can or cannot read into some hot starts by teams like Buffalo, Carolina, Detroit and Edmonton, and the cold starts for Dallas and San Jose. Ray talks about his yelling match with Ron Wilson in his playing days and the guys chat on the pluses and minuses of having more media access, cameras and microphones around the game. Stanley Cup Champion and Conn Smythe Trophy winner Ryan O’Reilly of the St. Louis Blues joins Ray and Darren and talks about what it was like to experience the change with being traded from Buffalo to St. Louis in 2018. Ryan reflects on the rollercoaster ride that was the Blues incredible 2018-19 season. Ryan also talks about his passion for guitars and one of the latest additions to his collection. In this week’s #ThroatPunch Darren nominates Mike Babcock for his decision to scratch Jason Spezza against Ottawa. Ray’s nomination is Connor Hellebuyck for not owning-up to the media his shortcomings in giving up 5 goals in the Jets opening night loss.
